About the Opportunity

 

Giffen LLP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates Law Clerk to join our dynamic estates team. In this key role, you will provide comprehensive support to our lawyers on a wide range of estate matters, working with reputable clients and contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and file applications for Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee (with or without a will)

  • Draft estate planning documents including wills, codicils, powers of attorney for property and personal care

  • Assist in the administration of estates and estate litigation matters

  • Maintain and organize estate files, ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with legal deadlines

  • Professional and sensitive approach in all communications with clients, beneficiaries and estate trustees

 

Who We Are Looking For

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Law Clerk specializing in estates matters.

  • Strong knowledge of estate law and procedures.

  • Proficiency in estate administration.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
