Jacqueline grew up in the rural community of Ariss, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. Jacqueline went on to receive her law degree from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, where she received the Dean’s Medal for the highest academic standing in her graduating class.
Jacqueline was Called to the Bar in 2018 after articling with a prominent full-service firm in Hamilton, Ontario, where she practiced corporate and commercial law, real estate law and land development law until September 2019. Jacqueline joined Giffen LLP in October 2019 as a member of Giffen’s business law, real estate and wills and estates group.
Jacqueline’s areas of practice include:
Corporate and Commercial Law (including asset and share purchase agreements, incorporations, re-organizations, loans, tax planning, construction contracts, and other commercial contracts); Real Estate Law (including commercial and residential leases, commercial and residentials purchase, sale and mortgage transactions; and, Land Development (including project financing, applications for Planning Act consents, severances and Land Titles Absolute, registration of easements, plans of subdivision and plans of condominium, and new construction sales).
When not in the office, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, playing golf and ultimate frisbee, and getting outside with her dog Ruthie.
